5/16/25 - character playlists are my passion (ten billion yen girl and evil halcali edition)

(yakuza 5 spoilers for this entry soz... play this game if you haven't already it's real good)

so i finished haruka's section of y5 a bit ago and i loved it... apparently a lot of people in the fandom hate it but a lot of yakuza fans are straight men who just like the series for hype moments and aura so i'm not surprised...anyways that's not what i'm here to talk about.
i loved the fact that haruka was an idol i thought it was really cute and i also liked her competition, t-set....they were mean af but at least in the end they apologized. the scene where they apologized was very sweet.. i kinda hate them but i also love them like idk they're kinda cool. (i'm in the finale now and it's funny that their entire beef with haruka was just like a publicity stunt. t-set actually seem to kinda love haruka even if mai is kinda stubborn with it... it's super cute TuT)

but basically i feel like haruka and t-set's styles and strengths are kinda different if that makes sense? like haruka suits more cute and sweet type of music and t-set suit more dark and dramatic music. at least imo. so i thought it would be fun to make fake albums for both haru and t-set based on what music i think suits them the most with songs i like. ^_^


i think haruka suits more energetic typical girly type of jpop and shibuya-kei + akishibu-kei. i'm not really a jpop connoisseur (surprising i know) so if there's a specific name for this type of stuff then i'm sorry. i would say feel free to educate me but i purposefully made it so you can't contact me anywhere on this site because it made me nervous. so just telepathically communicate with me if you want to tell me anything.
specific artists she would take inspo from (if the timelines match up...) could be serani poji, perfume, yasutaka nakata projects in general, and just the shibuya-kei/akishibu-kei scenes as a whole.... and of course i had to sneak in some hokago tea time songs who do you think i am
specific albums i think suit her are ochamekan and one room survival by serani poji, and jpn and game by perfume (minus take me take me). it was so hard to not just put the entirety of ochamekan in this playlist
my reasoning for this like assumption of what suits her is cuz i think konnan janai and because i have you suit her a lot very cute vibes with her i love her... because i have you is like the saddest song ever though if you know the lyrics and her story....... even without story context it's really beautiful

also some of these songs kinda match up with her personality/likes a bit too so i think it's especially cute. like fishman by poji, i feel like she would like fishing i mean her papa did...in my playthroughs at least... i mean she literally lived right next to a beach in yakuza 3. and puppy love cuz... she likes dogs she's had a few throughout the games like. Ok you get it
But isn't this song super haruka coded? i can literally imagine her singing this.... maybe i'm just crazy


now for t-set...
i feel like part of these girls' appeal would be that they're kinda "bratty" even though they're like actually not. they seem like sweet girls to me i know you're just faking it sillies...
i'm only saying this cuz i feel like with that and the darker outfits their agency gave them, that the super cutesy stuff (that slapped btw) that they had to sing at the princess league i don't think is the type of music they would suit the most. except for loneliness loop that song kinda captures the type of music i think they would suit like perfectly... the like very dramatic retro 2000's japanese synthpop like some tommy february6 shit. also like an age appropriate MEG. and any tanaka song/project where he went super electro like fruits clipper by capsule and edge by perfume. and lowkey sheena ringo? maybe not super as a music inspo since she's mostly rock and i imagine t-set mostly doing pop and electronic but they would definitely think she's cool as fuck. but i mean who doesn't. but like they would be some real ass fangirls bro.
i keep thinking of the cover of shoso strip but with t-set lol i should commission that from someone it would be so cute
actually i do think t-set could delve into rock for an album and it wouldn't be that weird...idk... it would kinda be like kkb did with time n place but less jarring lol
if they did it would be like shoso strip by sheena for sure. can you tell i have so many ideas for them...

this song below is kinda what kickstarted this whole fake albums idea for the princess league girls cuz i was like holy shit this song is so t-set... and there was also a bunch of songs that reminded me of haruka so i was like let me do something fun with this

and this song weirdly reminded me of them and i think a stupidly edgy song like this would either piss them off or they would love it LMAO

also bro image starting an album with yatsutsuke shigoto....literal chills. Not to hype myself up for putting this together but this tracklist is so fucking good i feel like the order of everything is almost perfect.

we don't have much info on them and what they like like we do with haruka so i just went based off vibes....if you disagree then sorry. but i am curious as to what you think would suit them if you disagree. so use that telepathic communication i mentioned earlier or just email if you can find my email
also yes both of the albums are over an hour long...i did not do it on purpose i just kept putting songs and then i looked and they were both long af. but jpop albums used to be pretty long back in the day anyways so i think it's kinda fitting with the time? Also also i didn't really take lyrics into consideration for most songs on either album, if any of the lyrics are incredibly unfitting for any of them just like. imagine they change the lyrics but keep everything else if this was real. Ok

For the 1 person that cares, these aren't public on spotify cuz... well idk. Cuz idgaf no irdk why i just don't feel like making them public ig but if even 1 person asks (don't be shy...) for it i'll make them public. anything for my fans~

i haven't finished y5 yet so idk if they actually go through with this considering everyone has it out for haruka rn like Leave her alone...but in the finale t-set have this plan for them and haruka to all perform together at the japan dome (aka the tokyo dome i guess tokyo dome was copyrighted or something) and that's so cute first of all. and second of all for a trio album for them i think triangle by perfume would be kind of perfect. it's cute but also has a bit of a darker vibe that fits t-set rly well so i think it would just be perfect...perfect perfect...
GOD WHY do i have to be like this making up shit that will never happen with fictional characters in my head. istg... i would be unstoppable if i was normal. but i just had to be blessed with autim instead.

anyway i'm thinking of making fake album covers and tracklists and lyric books for both albums when i get the chance aka when i feel like it... but idk if i actually will. but it seems like a fun concept! i've also thought of making a fake magazine layout with haruka and some of her in game interviews i think that could be really fun... and i could base it off some of her real yakuza magazine pages

and it would get me to practice graphic design which i have funnily not done much of recently considering i am literally gonna start college with a gd major like next month. don't say anything about that pls.
also i just realized t-set's section is way longer than haruka's lol i do like haruka more like she's literally my daughter but i just feel like t-set had sooo much potential it's crazy that they seemed to (from what i've seen) just dip after y5. i'm not sure how the game ends yet so idrk what happens to them but. they had so much potential man...
i'm also probably like the only person that actually cares about them but it's ok. Someone has to do it.

5/12/25 - small shopping haul and i love the record store

i went to the record store like i said i would in my latest (5/3/25) blog entry! this was my first time going to this one and it was very cool... it was a nice little place and i was so surprised at the amount of people there it was packed like wtf where did you all come from but i loved it. also the staff was nice. even though i purposefully avoided talking to them

this is my haul. i went to five below and tj maxx too so that's where the shirts and south park keychain came from (btw i got kenny for the keychain my freaking son...) i love those shirts... the top one is a chappell roan reference which is adorable and the cat one is just so dumb i love it... it's lowkey too big for me but i plan on just sewing it when i can i rly need to buy a sewing machine one of these days
and the cd's. i got the whole annoying brit (black midi) collection and it cost me...$85...imagine a gif of a fly flying out of my wallet is here cuz that's how i felt afterwards. jk i felt great i'm so happy to finally own these
also i bought a funko pop for my (UNGRATEFUL) sister and 2 stickers (one for her) so that added to the price no i did not spend $85 on 4 cd'skdmvkjfnvk
i rly thought my mom would say something about hellfire and the new sound (especially the new sound...) but she didn't gaf but like she knows me at this point i feel like i could wear a shirt that says BITCH or something in all caps around her and she wouldn't even be mad she would just be like "are you actually serious rn"
i also feel like she would lowkey like some of their songs...i mean she was lowkey the one that got me into rock anyways. also greep is literally latino in the new sound too so
i did also want pinkpantheress fancy that and bcnr's forever howlong (both very lovely records) but i didn't see either there... i searched for fancy that for a bit but not forever howlong so i lowkey might've just missed it woopsies... but i'm still very happy with what i did find like very i rly didn't expect these dorks to be there

my current cd collection with the angels (women) at the top and the demons (men) at the bottom, just how it should be
it will keep getting more and more obnoxious with every new cd i get

some of their credits are so unintentionally (probably partially intentionally) funny like the helicopter pilot one pictured in the second image and a whole section of "burp" credits on eat men eat. like Are we deadass
i seriously can't stand them.
also shoutout my local record store for having a kpop section literally cool as shit i almost spent $25 on a njz album (the 1st ep danielle version) though which is not cool as shit. i had to really restrain myself from it. i will buy it though just online for cheaper #smartspending #frugallifestyle

side note, i'm honestly scared to listen to the new sound in full again that album is so good but listening to it in full means i have to listen to the magician again and that song ruins my life for at least 2 days every time i listen to it

the ghost in my room does seem to want me to listen to it though. she knocked down all my bm cd's and left greep's standing literally akgae behavior #shameful...

4/18/25 - subliminal messaging

i had a dream about the site last night...i guess that's a sign i need to work on it more. it was weird though it was like that it kinda blew up that's so funny but i think i would be a little anxious if it actually did get rly popular (;T_T) i mean i know it's public and all but i can't imagine it being that entertaining for most people considering how random as fuck my interests are and my coding is kinda ass and the layout isn't anything special but yk what. i love this stupid site. and. i made the layout simple on purpose cuz making it complicated would've given me a 4 year long migraine and i am honestly a minimalist when it comes to design....if you looked at my room you would assume the opposite though
btw does anyone like the song i picked for this page. yes it's annoying on purpose i thought it would be funny
